DESCRIPTION:We are hosting our very first Giving Day from 8am on Tuesday 24th September until 8pm on Wednesday 25th September! \nOur Giving Day is online and provides an opportunity for our global school community to come together during our milestone 900th anniversary year to support our 900 Campaign fundraising efforts for the Bursary Fund. \nIt will take place during the final legs of the 900km Cycle in aid of the Bursary Fund and promises to be an exciting 36 hours as it offers the chance to truly demonstrate the power of cumulative giving. \nFurther details will be available shortly. SUMMARY:900km sponsored cycle in aid of the Bursary Fund
DESCRIPTION:As part of our ongoing celebrations of our 900th anniversary year\, members of the High School community will be embarking on a 900km sponsored cycle in support of the Bursary Fund. The cyclist will depart from Drewsteignton\, in Devon on Tuesday 17th September and will cycle north over a period of nine days to reach Glasgow Cathedral\, the site of our School’s founding\, on Wednesday 25th September. \nWe hope that many members of our wider High School community across the UK will turn out to support\, cheer Team HSOG on\, or even join them for sections of the route. The current plan will cover the following approximate route over the nine days: \nTuesday 17th September\, Day 1 –Drewsteignton to Bridgewater (68 miles)\nWednesday 18th September\, Day 2 –Bridgewater to Severn Bridge (67 miles)\nThursday 19th September\, Day 3 – Severn Bridge to Leominster (63 miles)\nFriday 20th September\, Day 4 – Leominster to Nantwich (77 miles)\nSaturday 21st September\, Day 5 – Nantwich to Shevington Moor (64 miles)\nSunday 22nd September\, Day 6 – Shevington Moor to Milnthorpe (60 miles)\nMonday 23rd September\, Day 7 – Milnthorpe to Carlisle (62 miles)\nTuesday 24th September\, Day 8 – Carlisle to Crawford (61 miles)\nWednesday 25th September\, Day 9 – Crawford to Glasgow Cathedral (50 miles) \nRiders will finish their momentous cycle the day before our Annual Commemoration & Thanksgiving Service\, which of course takes place at Glasgow Cathedral. \nIf you are interested in joining Team HSOG for part\, or all of\, the route (please note\, you would have to cover the costs of your own accommodation\, food and travel)\, or if you would be able to assist with some of the following\, such as sponsorship for support vehicles\, cycling kit and accommodation\, or you have a specialism in bike maintenance and can assist the team with ongoing repairs\, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible at admin@hsog.co.uk using “Team HSOG” as the subject line.

SUMMARY:900th Anniversary Gala Dinner
DESCRIPTION:To launch our year of celebration\, we will be hosting our 900th Anniversary Gala Homecoming Dinner on Saturday 20th January 2024 at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Please be aware that tickets for this event are now sold out. If you’d like to join our waiting list\, please email community@hsog.co.uk.  \nThis fundraising Black Tie event includes both a silent and live auction run by our host for the evening\, Fred MacAulay. It provides an excellent opportunity for 450 members of our community to come together to celebrate and raise funds for our 900 Campaign\, further details of which will be shared with the whole community after the Gala Dinner.  \nThe silent auction will go live ahead of the 20th of January and will be open to all members of our community to bid on regardless of if you are attending the Gala Dinner or not. To be able to place a bid you will need to set up an account on our Givergy event page.
