DESCRIPTION:Calling all Class of 1968 former pupils\, we have some exciting news to share! On Thursday 16th October\, members of your class will be coming together at the Pavilion at Old Anniesland in celebration of your 75th birthdays\, and they would love for you to join them. \nStarting from 6.30pm\, it’ll be an evening full of fun\, camaraderie and reminiscing as you all come together in celebration.\n\nTickets cost £55 per person and include a three-course meal and half a bottle of wine per person. To book your place at your reunion\, please arrange for a bank transfer to one of the class year organisers\, Alistair McNaughton. Please contact the External Relations Team via email at development@hsog.co.uk or by telephone on 0141 954 9628 and they will happily share the details with you.\n\nThere will also be the opportunity for tours of the Senior School before the evening celebrations formally begin so you may have a glimpse into life at HSOG today. DESCRIPTION:Join fellow former pupils for the London Club’s popular Annual Reunion & Dinner on Friday 21st March 2025 at The Caledonian Club in the heart of London’s Belgravia. \nNewly appointed Club President\, Andrew McConachie (Class of 2006)\, will be the host of the evening’s events having taken over from former Joint Presidents\, Christine Ansell (Class of 1983) and Ian Welsh (Class of 1991). \nThis year’s Reunion Dinner will be even more poignant due to the retirement of current HSOG Rector\, Mr John O’Neill\, at the end of session in June. It would be wonderful to see as many faces\, young and old\, join us as we celebrate and pay tribute to John’s many years of leadership and service to the School! \nAlso joining us for the occasion will be Class of 2000 former pupil\, Stuart Hudson\, who has recently been confirmed as the Guest Speaker. Stuart’s illustrious career spans both the financial and political spheres. He currently co-leads advisory group\, Brunswick’s\, global regulatory practice\, advising companies throughout Europe\, North America and Asia on mergers\, antitrust investigations and other regulatory issues. \nPrior to joining the Brunswick Group in 2010\, Stuart made his mark in the political sector where he was Special Adviser to former Prime Minister\, Gordon Brown. We have no doubt that he will have some captivating stories to share! \nThe evening will start for 6.30pm / 7pm with a welcome drinks reception\, followed by a three-course dinner. The dress code for the evening will be highland or black tie. SUMMARY:Sports Homecoming Event at Old Anniesland
DESCRIPTION:We will be displaying the rich history of sporting achievement at Old Anniesland on Saturday 23rd March 2024 with a series of events and matches for current and former pupils\, parents\, staff and our wider school community. \nIt could be an opportunity for parents to play against their child\, and for former pupils to meet up once again and pull on the chocolate and gold or blue strip once more. \nHOCKEY\nThe hockey will take the format of Hockey 5’s and teams can be submitted to participate\, or you can submit your name as an individual and we can allocate you to a team. The hockey festival will run from 9.30am-12.30pm on our sand-based and water-based Astros at Old Anniesland \nRUGBY\nThe format of the rugby festival will be a 7-a-side touch rugby tournament\, allowing current pupils to play against former pupils and parent teams. This event will run from 10am-1pm on our five grass rugby pitches at Old Anniesland. As with the hockey\, teams can be submitted to participate\, or you can submit your name as an individual and we can allocate you to a team. \nWe would ask that all interested teams and individuals click on this link to complete the registration form. Food will be available on the day and the Pavilion Bar will be open from early afternoon and throughout the evening for anyone wishing to catch up with old friends. \nTours of the Senior School at Old Anniesland will also be available on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd March between 2pm-4pm for anyone who wishes to reacquaint themselves with the School buildings. \nWe hope to have a large number of teams entered to make it an event to remember!
