DESCRIPTION:Calling all Class of 1968 former pupils\, we have some exciting news to share! On Thursday 16th October\, members of your class will be coming together at the Pavilion at Old Anniesland in celebration of your 75th birthdays\, and they would love for you to join them. \nStarting from 6.30pm\, it’ll be an evening full of fun\, camaraderie and reminiscing as you all come together in celebration.\n\nTickets cost £55 per person and include a three-course meal and half a bottle of wine per person. To book your place at your reunion\, please arrange for a bank transfer to one of the class year organisers\, Alistair McNaughton. Please contact the External Relations Team via email at development@hsog.co.uk or by telephone on 0141 954 9628 and they will happily share the details with you.\n\nThere will also be the opportunity for tours of the Senior School before the evening celebrations formally begin so you may have a glimpse into life at HSOG today. So that we may gauge the levels of interest for this\, please email development@hsog.co.uk if you would be interested in coming along. More exact timings will be confirmed closer to the time\, but it’s likely the tours will start from around 5.30pm.\n\n\nPlease do spread the word amongst your peers so as many people as possible have the opportunity to attend. DESCRIPTION:We have some exciting news to share with former pupils from the Class of 1985! \nWith 2025 marking a spectacular 40 years since you said your goodbyes to Old Anniesland\, a few of your fellow former classmates have put plans in motion for a reunion weekend between Friday 29th and Sunday 31st August 2025 packed to the brim with an exciting array of activities. \nThe plans for the weekend are as follows:\n– Friday – Golf at Glasgow Killermont (£20 payable on the day) or a walk and talk tour of Glasgow (payable on the day)\n– Saturday – Drinks and canapes at the High School followed by tours of the Senior School (£15 bookable online). 3 course dinner at GWR (£65 payable on the night)\n– Sunday – Farewell Brunch (payable on the day). \nWe hope to welcome many of you back to HSOG in August!

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow former pupils for the London Club’s popular Annual Reunion & Dinner on Friday 21st March 2025 at The Caledonian Club in the heart of London’s Belgravia. \nNewly appointed Club President\, Andrew McConachie (Class of 2006)\, will be the host of the evening’s events having taken over from former Joint Presidents\, Christine Ansell (Class of 1983) and Ian Welsh (Class of 1991). \nThis year’s Reunion Dinner will be even more poignant due to the retirement of current HSOG Rector\, Mr John O’Neill\, at the end of session in June. It would be wonderful to see as many faces\, young and old\, join us as we celebrate and pay tribute to John’s many years of leadership and service to the School! \nAlso joining us for the occasion will be Class of 2000 former pupil\, Stuart Hudson\, who has recently been confirmed as the Guest Speaker. Stuart’s illustrious career spans both the financial and political spheres. He currently co-leads advisory group\, Brunswick’s\, global regulatory practice\, advising companies throughout Europe\, North America and Asia on mergers\, antitrust investigations and other regulatory issues. \nPrior to joining the Brunswick Group in 2010\, Stuart made his mark in the political sector where he was Special Adviser to former Prime Minister\, Gordon Brown. We have no doubt that he will have some captivating stories to share! \nThe evening will start for 6.30pm / 7pm with a welcome drinks reception\, followed by a three-course dinner. The dress code for the evening will be highland or black tie. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Class of 2014 former pupils! SUMMARY:900km sponsored cycle in aid of the Bursary Fund
DESCRIPTION:As part of our ongoing celebrations of our 900th anniversary year\, members of the High School community will be embarking on a 900km sponsored cycle in support of the Bursary Fund. The cyclist will depart from Drewsteignton\, in Devon on Tuesday 17th September and will cycle north over a period of nine days to reach Glasgow Cathedral\, the site of our School’s founding\, on Wednesday 25th September. \nWe hope that many members of our wider High School community across the UK will turn out to support\, cheer Team HSOG on\, or even join them for sections of the route. The current plan will cover the following approximate route over the nine days: \nTuesday 17th September\, Day 1 –Drewsteignton to Bridgewater (68 miles)\nWednesday 18th September\, Day 2 –Bridgewater to Severn Bridge (67 miles)\nThursday 19th September\, Day 3 – Severn Bridge to Leominster (63 miles)\nFriday 20th September\, Day 4 – Leominster to Nantwich (77 miles)\nSaturday 21st September\, Day 5 – Nantwich to Shevington Moor (64 miles)\nSunday 22nd September\, Day 6 – Shevington Moor to Milnthorpe (60 miles)\nMonday 23rd September\, Day 7 – Milnthorpe to Carlisle (62 miles)\nTuesday 24th September\, Day 8 – Carlisle to Crawford (61 miles)\nWednesday 25th September\, Day 9 – Crawford to Glasgow Cathedral (50 miles) \nRiders will finish their momentous cycle the day before our Annual Commemoration & Thanksgiving Service\, which of course takes place at Glasgow Cathedral. \nIf you are interested in joining Team HSOG for part\, or all of\, the route (please note\, you would have to cover the costs of your own accommodation\, food and travel)\, or if you would be able to assist with some of the following\, such as sponsorship for support vehicles\, cycling kit and accommodation\, or you have a specialism in bike maintenance and can assist the team with ongoing repairs\, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible at admin@hsog.co.uk using “Team HSOG” as the subject line.
