The Town School charts the history of The High School of Glasgow, including the story of how a co-educational independent High School, opened on the playing fields of Old Anniesland, has become within a generation one of the top schools in Scotland. 

Brian Lockhart, former Deputy Rector of The High School of Glasgow between 1981-1996, is the author of this book detailing the history of the School since its earliest origins in the 1100s.
