Business Breakfast with Roddy Dunlop QC

17th September 2019, by HSOG Community

Please join us for a Business Breakfast on Friday 22nd November 2019 at Hotel du Vin Glasgow from 8.00am until 9.30am. This is an ideal networking opportunity for members of the HSOG Community.

Our Speaker will be former pupil, Roddy Dunlop QC, class of 1988.

Roddy has a great deal of experience in court, appearing at every level within the Scottish civil court system. His expertise covers media law, professional negligence, professional discipline, insurance law, commercial disputes, procurement, intellectual property, human rights, prescription and limitation, and judicial review. He is the only Scottish silk to be ranked in seven separate practice areas by Chambers UK, who place him as a Band 1 Silk in the areas of professional discipline, professional negligence, commercial dispute resolution, media law, medical negligence and public procurement.

In recent times, Roddy has defended Alastair Carmichael QC in the first electoral court challenge in Scotland for over 50 years, acted for the Scottish Government in the Alex Salmond judicial review, and represented the UK Government in the application for interim orders in the Brexit challenge. He is Treasurer of the Faculty of Advocates and actively involved in promoting equality and diversity at the Scottish Bar.

This event is free to attend, however, we require you to register your attendance, please visit: www.hsogconnect.co.uk or www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/79176459923
